Warzone is a tower defense game where your objective is to defend your HQ from the waves of enemy tanks by constructing defensive structures. There are many maps to choose from and different types of game modes.

The game is too good because both the enemy units and our defenses are so well balanced that you need to construct all types structures to counter the variety of enemy units at strategic positions. The maps are initially empty at the start, it is upto the player to shape up the path that the enemy takes to his/her advantage. This gives infinite possibilities where player can try out a different number of placements to find a best placement plan.

Apart from the defensive structures, the player has the power to drop bomb and nuke at a given point which has a one time area damage effect, very much useful at crysis especially at later stages.

No goal:
The only thing that I dont like about this game is that none of the maps has a goal which when reached we win the game. All maps and modes are like endurance mode where we keeps on playing until our HQ is destroyed. The thought that how good we play, we are going to loose at the end is not much satisfying. Other than this, it is a perfect tower defense game.

Cheap Trick:
There is a cheap trick to survive longer than usual. The defenses should be placed such that there are two long curved loopy paths to the HQ, one path should be closed always so that all the units move through the other path and when the units are near the end of their path, that path should be closed and the other is opened. Thus by repeating this cycle with perfect timing, we increase the path travelled by the enemy tanks to virtually infinite distance.

By using the above technique, once a large number of tanks are gathered in a single area, we could drop a nuke there to take them all out with a single hit.

In our office, we are to develop a similar iphone game named 'Warnest', so we took this as a reference. I was playing the game daily for past few weeks and the maximum score I could reach is 71K in the 160th wave.

Overall its a great game with much replay value because of its dynamic nature and served its purpose (as a reference to our game) well.

Deus Ex is one of the best RPG I ever played, mixed with conspiracy theories, futuristic elements all happening in our real world locations, rather than some fantasy world. The whole plot can be stated as something as follows.


In order to maintain peace and order, United Nations form a group named UNATCO, which has access to some other highly advanced sophisticated technologies in the world, particularly Nano-Augmentation, by which people are turned super soldiers by injection of nano-particles in their body.
Player is one of such Nano-Agent named JC Denton, who starts with the mission of recovering stolen Ambrosia supplies and in the process meets up with various personalities from different organisations, making critical decisions that branches the story in completely weird paths, visiting many places in the world including New york, Hong Kong and many more. My Play The world is ravaged by a fatal disease called "Gray Death" and there is a cure named "Ambrosia", which is very short in supply.
Ambrosia is provided only to the RICH and so various terrestrial organisations have been formed around the globe to steal it and a group named NSF actually accomplish in stealing the Ambrosia supply.

My Play

I spent long time with this game, but couldnt get to complete the game, though I played through more than half of the story, leaving UNATCO, visiting Japan, stopped the Kill Switch, obtained Dragon Tooth Sword and much more. I wish I had finished the game before itself, as I wont be playing this here after for various reasons. Overall its a superb game.

SPOILER ALERT !!! - This post explains in detail the plot of FEAR game and thus contains major spoilers.

The player is an operative in the FEAR(First Encounter Assault Recoon) team. The game starts with the players being debriefed by the FEAR operatives. The mission summary goes as this: There is a psychic commander named, Paxton Fettel, who is capable of controlling an army of super soldiers telepathically.

I am dropped in one of the buildings of Armacham facility with the mission to find Fettel. Shortly after the mission starts, all my team memebers were killed by some super-natural powers and I am left alone to pursue the mission. I roam through the haunted buildings of Armacham in search of Fettel, killing all the super soldiers on my way, meeting Fettel in both reality and some altered dimension, a dream.

Worst part is the creepy environment, the lively BGM and the terrific encounters with the creepy little girl, Alma. The game will really make anyone go insane. For me, I cant play the game more the 2 hours straight, heart beats will go to the maximum if I play long hours and I needed gaps to relax myself. The encounters with Alma will be the most intense gameplay that will make you sweat for real. Initially the plot will be completely confusing but as the game progress, all your speculations, the plot slowly answers itself and makes sense.

The confusion plot goes as follows: Armacham did some weird research several years ago and the project was doomed and results of the project were hidden to outside world. The project is named 'Project Origin'. The two mystic characters Fettel and Alma were somehow linked to the Project Origin.

After halve the game is over, I am assigned a different goal of pursuing after Alice Wade, daughter of Harlan Wade, who is the lead scientist behind Project Origin and there were speculations that Alma is the daughter of Harlan Wade. It seems since the project failed, Armacham killed the girl, Alma  and locked up the entire research facility, Vault. But it is suspected that Alma's sould still lives inside the Vault (Creepy !!!)

Going after Alice takes us to the Vault. No!!! I dont want to go in!!! But I got no other choice. The game's final moments happen within the vault. Inside the vault happens the creepiest encounters with Alma. But Alma looks different inside the vault. She is all grown up, its her real appearance at the time of her death. Things go really insane both gameplay wise and plot wise.

It is revealed that Alma is my mother and Fettel, my brother. For some reason, she wants to kill me, her son. Possibly she should have gone mad because of all the tortures she had as part of the experiments and she wants to take revenge on all, including me.

Project Origin seems to be a project to create evolved super humans with psychic powers. Since Alma exhibited some psychic powers at the young age, she was taken as a test model, made to give birth to two children (the prototypes). In the process, she was tortured, separated from her children and in the killed as the people in the research team couldn't control her. But her soul still remains there with the only intention of taking revenge on all and we are put in the middle of this whole mess without even knowing what going on all around for some really sick reason, which we dont know till the end.

Things go completely out of hand inside the Vault and we are to blow up the whole facility destroying all the traces the Alma and Project Origin. I did just that and escapes from inside the Vault to the surface. A nuclear explosion occurs, but I survived the disaster, wakes in a helicopter with the FEAR team around. Somewhere in those scenes, I hear a lady say "Prototype two successful", by which she refers us". After credits, comes the final unexpected twist. Perfect Ending with a loads of things left to speculate.

Seriously this plot is worthy of a Hollywood movie plot, I would say. A wonder full game indeed :-)

I found another big vault opening door and came out the facility, where I got orders from Betters to get as far from the facility as possible.

I had some creepy encounter with Alma and in one encounter I was forced to shoot her. But, I suspect my bullets will do any harm to her. The whole place is blowing apart and I am literally running for my life. Those monsters from hell are spawning everywhere and slowing me down, but nothing can stop me.

I came out of the facility alive and witnessed a worst incident, a big terrible explosion at the heart of the Auburn District. Later I was saved by my friends and we are going in the chopper, where I witnessed another totally unexpected nightmare. With that the game ends.

The ending is very cool, with full of twists. As in other games, there is no boss monster to fight with, but this ending is 100% appropriate and suits the plot. I will start playing the expansion packs soon. Before that I will write another post on the plot of this game, after doing a little research myself, because plot-wise, I might have missed out something.

I just now arrived inside the vault. There is a cool looking orb floating in front of me.

As expected, I am having creepy dream sequences with Fettel in it. This time, Fettel let me know a big secret and I never thought things will go like this. Unexpected, but interesting. On the end of the dream sequence, I am wiped out of my weapons and Fettel and Alice are found dead in front of me. I am not sure, whether it is for real and just an illusion.

On proceeding a litle, I found 3 soldiers, but they are standing still without any motion. I went close to them and touched them, but still no response. Maybe Fettel is really dead and now no one to control those soldiers, so they are now acting like unplugged robots.

I found a laptop with a video recording of Wade, where she described more about Alma. He ended his speech with a cool line. Here it is, "It is the way of men to make monsters. And it is the nature of monsters to destroy their makers". Its a very cool quote and fits exactly to the current situation.

This facility is like hell, where Alma is free roaming everywhere and killing everyone. I saw an incident of Wade getting killed terribly by Alma. Hope its just an illusion, that tricked me well. And here she spawned some new type of monsters directly from hell through a dark(warm hole like) opening. They are easy to kill (in one shot), but they are self-destructive explosives and causes very high damage and they spawn in big numbers. Even with my sloMo, I barely manage to handle them.

I found the reactor with four reactor cells. As told by mapes, I destroyed them and the whole damn place started crumbling. I am running for my life and I need to get the hell out of there. Missions aside, I need to save my life first.

I am at some Armacham Research facility, which is filled with ATC guards and Fettel's telepathic soldiers. The more deeper I go, the more things made sense through laptops, videos, etc., I met my old friend Mapes doing some mischieves as usual.

After some long search, I found the big entrance to the vault and a scene between Harlan Wade and Mapes, in which Mapes was shot. Harlan Wade enters the vault and sealed it by divering the power supplies to vault. Now, to open the vault, I need to bring back power to the vault doors.

I went through the whole facility and activated four power rods and came back to the entrance of the vault, where Mapes told his last words. He wants me to blow up the vault, by damaging the reactor cells in some power generator. I dont know if I can trust him. Anyway, Vault is just a few steps ahead and I am already freaked out. But, I am not quitting now, lets see.

This interval starts with a chopper ride, where we are headed to Rammelmeier Industrial compound in Auburn. It was found that there is an underground complex in there and that place is somehow linked with the so called Project Origin. Also, that place is shut down for years because of some unknown reasons. On our way, as usual, our chopper was shot and we fell down in the middle. My mates were pretty badly injured and I am to proceed alone.

I proceeded all alone through the old ruined building, killing the hostiles on my way. After going a long way, in one place, I saw Fettel holding Alice's neck and the image ran away. And I had a very disturbing dream sequence with Alma. Those dream sequences are very intense, long and very creepy now, when compared to past.

I searched the whole of Auburn District, with a number of encounters with the heavily armored soldiers and Alma. I finally found an elevator. With a creepy vision in an elevator, this interval ends.

Still I didnt found the Vault, Fettel, Alice or the gory Alma. But I have this feeling that I am very close to them now. Continued on next post.

Now I am a bit closer to Alice Wade and is now going to enter the Executive Building. This executive building is soo creepy, that Alma even shows up in TV monitors. Without much trouble I reached a place, which is supposed to be the office of Alice Wade. But no one is there, and the place is shattered into pieces. I wonder what happened to her. Anyways, I continued my pursuit for her.

The damn lift is broken and I am forced to use the ladders inside. After searching the executive building thoroughly, with some creepy encounters and gun fights in between, I found Alice Wade locked up in her father's office. I freed her and now I am to escort her to the top for evac.

At one point, we are separated and in front of my eyes, Alma shows up and takes away Alice Wade. All, I can do now is to proceed to evac area. I did that well and found Alice Wade at the terrace. She is totally unaware of what happened at the lift before. While we are having a nice chat, our evac heli arrives and unfortunately shot down by the hostiles. Alice is shocked on seeing the heli blowing and going down and ran into a nearby door and locked the door.

There is a high probability that Alice is heading towards the Car Parking area, to take her car. So, I need to get there ASAP and find her. I am in the terrace now and need to go all the way down to find her. I started my pursuit and on my way, I encountered a wave of new type of enemies. They are flying bots programmed very carefully to kill just me. With my SloMo enabled, they are not a big threat.

The parking area is very heavily guarded with normal guards and heavy troopers and wiped them all out, but could not find Alice Wade. It seems she already escaped from this facility. Then, I met with my friends, who are waiting for me with the heli. Now, we are en route to Auburn District, where Alice is believed to be going to find her father.

I moved to some other floor in the elevator. Few guards were waiting there, ready to be killed by me. I finished them off and proceeded and met the old friends, Mapes surprisingly. Once again Mapes want me to bring down the local security system. I was not sure, whether to rely on him. But it looks like, I have no other choice.

Next few levels are pure horror without much gunfight. I somehow (bravely :P) managed to get past those terrifying stages and after some moment met up with Mapes again. That little noob activated security system and escaped from there. The activated security system controls the machine guns attached in the ceiling and they joined my list of hostiles now. Thanks to Mapes.

With SloMo and 2 close range shots from Shotgun, those machine guns were nothing. Then, I proceeded through the facility in search of Fettel. After adventuring through the creepy labs, I went to a U - shaped hall, dumped with a soldiers and an office in between. I wiped out the soldiers and then activated a button in the office.

That button brought down a worst sort of enemy, I ever seen, A power armored monster with rockets. It gave me a good intense fight. The trick is to always on move, hide from it, till the SloMo regenerates and then fire our own rockets at it, in SloMo. With this technique, and a dozen or two of rockets, he can be finished.

Then, I went up through the big elevator, in front of me. I continued my search for Fettel through the facility, got one surprising opportunity of taking out the guards with the machine gun, through a terminal.

After some time, this sub-interval "AfterImage" started and this is where I am totally freaked out. The environment is totally dark, I need to use my flash light more often and it felt a little like Doom 3. Sadly, this part made me fail my personal challenge. I set a challenge myself to play through this game only at night, with lights switched off and keeping full volume in my headset. But the creepiness in this level, made me play with this lights on and hence I failed my challenge. Dont laugh at me, everyone has their limits and I think this is mine.

At some point in this level, I was told to locate Alice Wade, who is in danger and plays an important role in this part. After I was assigned this mission, I got quite a good, hard oppression from the guards, the heavy tropper and the power armored monster and a special guard holding a particle gun. I wiped them all out for good and proceed through the facility, searching for Alice Wade.

This interval starts with a couple of good fight with the soldiers with some frightening scenes in between. While fighting the soldiers, they spoke about me like I am after their hostage. But, I have no idea, what they are speaking out. I am only after Paxton Fettel. But anyway, on hearing their speech, I was a little curious on that hostage.

After some hack and slash, I finally found the so called hostage, a guy named Bishop. But unfortunately he is wired with bombs in a chair. I am not a demolitions expert and so I am told to escort a demolition team waiting some where on the building to the Bishop's place.

I proceeded through the corridors and came to a hall with a few elevators. When I reached out the center of that hall, all the elevators opened and the soldiers came out of it suddenly. I head shotted two soldiers and took cover in the elevator from which they came. From there, I took out everyone one by one. Finally, a heavy tropper appeared. He was my favorite. I love killing him with the SloMo on and head shotting him in very close range with the combat shot gun. After the heavy tropper is taken down, the demolition expert team appeared. Seeing them helped me to calm down my pulses, which was beating at its maximum because of the creepiness.

Once I reach Bishop along with the demolition expertise, the fire alarm got alarmed and I was to investigate the reason. And again, I am going out all alone. As expected, things were more creepy and intense this time and that damn little girl showed up in some places. The sound along with the visuals were frightening like hell.

After traversing many rooms, I found some soldiers and killed them and proceeded to the next level.

I reached the terrace, where I was to rejoin with the demolition expert group and Bishop. By the time, I went there all of my guys boarded the helicopters and very strangely the ATC security guards started shooting at the helicopter and they did managed to kill Bishop. Actually, they are supposed to be our allies, but again nothing goes as expected in this game.



I was making my way through the heart of the building killing everyone on my way, including the ATC security. While I was walking over a small pipe, things got loose and I fell down badly. Now, I am to search the area and find some way back. Once again, the creepiness level was raised and I was crawling through all the tunnels, crossing my paths, expecting the unexpected. Had a few worst encounters and finally I found a lift and a few soldiers appeared. I killed them all and went up through the lift.

LZ is hot:
I was nearing the Armacham Headquarters in a chopper and just before landing, enemies appeared around the landing pad and started firing us. All my men were killed and I was dropped alone. There was one small crate in the landing pad, which I used for cover. Without it, its death for me. Because there were more than 10 soldiers firing at me. Using the cover, I took them out one by one and proceeded inside the Armacham Headquarters.

The headquarters is bloody big and I was searching for Fettel in the whole of it. Several floors and rooms are tightly packed with the super soldiers and some have scary guests and creepy surprises.

In the first part of Infiltration, I was mostly hanging out at the terrace, dealing with super soldiers and only at the end of the first part, I hop in to the headquarters from rooftop and start my pursuit from there.

The room I hopped in looks like it had some terrible incidents happened before. Here, the game atmospere looks real creepy and it was too intense for me. I hope I wont quit this game in the middle.  Inside armacham headquarters, I was welcomed by a few cloaking soldiers. They were super fast and frightening. But with my SloMo, they were no match for me.


After a few supernatural encounters with the unknown, I met up with a fat guy named Norton Mapes, who was an engineer at Armacham. He wants me to shut down the local security system and he promises me to help me in my mission. I proceeded and shut downed the local security system as he told, after having some mini gun fights with the security guards. On coming back, he was missing. I should have already known, that I should never trust a fat guy like him.

I proceeded alone and as I near the end of this Interval, Alma is freaking me out, with occasional appearances. I am even okay with the voice of Fettel coming out of no where. But this little girl, Alma, she is very frightening.

Lets see, what the game have in store for me in the next interval.

      Escalation is a big Interval with a large number of levels and a few creepy encounters with Alma. I had several good gun fights with the super soldiers, with the final fight topping them all.

      The final fight takes place in a big alley with a number of normal soldiers and one heavy trooper. There were a number of crates for my cover. But still, this was a very challenging and hard fight. After I took them all down, a chopper arrives and picks me up.

      But in this interval also, I failed to catch up Paxton Fettel and my pursuit continues. Fortunately, it was found that Fettel is now hiding in Armacham's headquarters and so I am going there in the next interval.

      I was dropped in a Armacham facility, along with a few of delta team members. Our mission was to find Paxton Fettel and to find the true nature of the crisis.

      The entrance of the facility was closed and I was told to open it somehow. I searched for the nearby area and found a lever in a control room. I opened the entrance gate and pulled the lever and went back to the entrance to find only to find the dead bodies of all the delta team members. On going close enough, I saw a vision of that creepy little girl killing the delta team members.


      Now, I was to proceed all alone. After that disturbing scene, I dont know how I was going to play. Somehow I cooled myself and proceeded into the facility, where I saw the firsts of the pyschic controlled super soldiers and was taught the combat mechanism in this game, including melee attacks.

      There were a number of super soldiers here and there in that facility and I took them all, proceeding deep into the heart of that facility, where I was suddenly confronted by the little girl. The whole scene turned creepy with things exploding the game automatically moved into SloMo. I was terribly frightened on seeing her face and was naturally backing up from her. Everything happened in slow motion and I found a broken window to my left, in which I jumped off and escaped from that restless soul, which also ends this Interval "Initiation".


      I was totally exhausted psychically and so I am here writing the post, instead of playing Interval 3 :-)

      I love horror games for their dark, scary, frightening environments and music and I played a few of them like Doom Franchise, Resident Evil series. But I never played them alone. I always used to play this sort of games with my friends, for some obvious reasons :-)

      But now, I installed FEAR in my system and is going to play it all by myself. To make things more interesting/scary, I decided to play the game in the night, with lights switched off and with my headset cranked up to the high volume. I know its like a suicide mission for me, but lets see what FEAR has for me.

      First Encounter Assault Reckon:
      FEAR is a highly trained special military unit formed by government to deal with supernatural threats. I am a point man, who just recently joined the FEAR team.

      My first mission is to find and neutralize Paxton Fettel, the antagonist of this game. Paxton Fettel is a chief commandar in Armacham Technology Corporation and worst things about him is he has the ability to control an army of cloned soldiers through psyche.


      Inception - Point of Origin:
      I was dropped at a building, where Fettel was supposed to be hiding. The building was damn creepy with the worst sound effects and visuals. After searching the whole building for some time, I regrouped with my team and was again ordered to proceed alone to search for Fettel. Fettel was hiding in a terrace of one building, where he took me out by surprise, blabbered something and escaped.

      With this, the first Interval 'Inception' got over. There were no combat in this chapter, but I was already creeped out.

      Till now, I havent seen that small girl and looking forward to see that small creepy girl in the second Interval.

      PS: I am playing the game in hard difficulty mode. Hoping to finish this game at this level. If I felt hard enough, I will tone it down later.

      I am little busy with my personal HTML5 project and so I am not spending much time on gaming. I played only 4 campaigns in the last one month. The campaigns are Gun Slinger, Ghost Town, A National Treasure and New Blood

       Here, I am not going to write about how I played the game. Instead, will post a few screenshots. Also, I recorded a video of a roller coaster ride in Gun Slinger scenario, using the coaster cam.

      Zatun games, India recently released a very sweet iPhone game named I Luv Chocolat. I Luv Chocolat is a kid game where you need to collect variety of chocolates in an amazingly colorful world. Zatun Games is well known as the developer of "Legend of Vraz" game for PC. I myself not played the game, but from the reviews, it seems to be a great game. Please do check it out.

      The game costs just $0.99, with a lite version, which you can try, before you buy.

      Valley of the Kings is a nice park deep inside a valley with the entrance at the top of a mountain. On my first view of the valley itself, I decided to put some transport ride that helps the peeps to get down the valley. But thats a big plan and I postponed that work later.

      As usual, I started with few thrill rides and gentle rides across the valley, which gave me a steady cash flow. Then to try something different, I built a custom Steeple Chase (horse ride) at one corner of the park. It had a good excitement rating and peeps rushed to ride this attraction.

      Then, I started implementing my transportation plan. Suspended Monorail was available for me to get started. Placed one station at the top of the mountain near the entrance and placed the other station deep down the valley, connected them with tracks that cover the entire track. Then I built 2 pre-built roller coasters and with that I achieved tycoon level.

      Broom Lake is sci-fi theme park in a desert land. A rough layout for the park is already laid out with plenty of stalls and other facilities, with the paths decorated with beautiful sceneries.

      I dont know if its really me playing better than before or the patch that did this. The thing is the game seems to be very easy now, with the peeps enjoying (and paying) all the rides many times, buys lots of items from stalls, really using the ATMs that I placed and making my park's profit roofing to the top.

      Broom Lake - Overview

      I build a few gentle rides like 3D Cinema and Laser Battle near the entrance of the park. Since these are the first and only attractions in the park, peeps were very excited and almost everyone started queuing in for those attractions.

      Then, I started adding thrill rides at the back of the park, slowly repaying the loans. With half a dozen thrill rides working at their full potential,  money flow was not a problem. With everything setup, I fast forwarded the time, repayed the loans, satisfied the VIP and finished the game achieving Tycoon objective without building a roller coaster :D

      This is a very cool looking symmetrically layouted scenario with a good real estate covered with water, which is also symmetrically laid. This is a very easy scenario and I completed it in 1.5 to 2 hours.

      All the lay outing is already done and my job is just to place random rides at appropriate position. All I build is thrill rides, gentle rides, junior rides and such. I built a log flume circuit, but it didnt workout well and I scrapped it. I built so many attractions, but never built any water rides. In my opinion, they are not required.

      With a large number of mini attraction, I got to entrepreneur level and I started building a mini coaster, whose completion gave me the tycoon level of this game.

      From next scenario, I planned to build a super-duper custom roller coaster and share it here...

      Fright Night is a scary theme park with creepy theme and helly attractions. There are already few attractions in there, with a wild roller coaster. But, they are not attractive enough for the peeps. My objective is to build atleast two roller coasters with an excitement rating of atleast 7.00 and to get $600 monthly from ride income.

      I played this game twice but failed, because the rides I have been building were not attracting the peeps, even the pre-built coasters were not good enough. So, I downloaded and applied the 1.3 patch, before continuing. This patch did amazing job. It reduced to loading times much, the game is now smoother than before, and now the peeps are interested in my rides :D


      After applying the patch, I started this Fright Night scenario from scratch. I built a few thrill rides here and there, after investing heavily of thrill ride research. I noticed that the peeps are not much interested in the Wild Roller Coaster that came with the park. So, I scrapped it and with that money, I build a pre-built floorless Inverted roller coaster, named Jet Stream. Then came the notification that the peeps were hungry and blah blah. So, I setup half a dozen stalls around the park, which would solve that issue.

      The objective is to have two coasters with atleast 7.00 excitement. Since, I scrapped the stock coaster, my coaster count is just 1 now. I got some loan from bank and started working on my custom Wild Mouse coaster, which came up pretty well with more than 7.00 excitement rating. I gave a bright colours and it looked very cool :-) I saved the design for future use. Here is a screenshot of the coaster:

      Box Office is an awesomely themed park with one and only Mono Rail that takes us throughout the beautiful park. The park is heavily themed with various theming items. But all those beauty is spoiled by the heavily littered paths and pavements, with no Janitors to take care of them. Because of those vomits and litters, the park rating was at around 100.

      My Objective is to cleanup the park, improve its rating and to build a huge coaster with atleast an excitement rating of 7.00. I started with hiring two janitors and trained them to their maximum capacity. Then, I started building few thrill rides above the existing infrastructure and paving path from the ground below. Because the real estate available to build additional attractions is very tiny and so I reserved them for my future coaster.

      After some time, like 2 years, I achieved the Entrepreneur goal and found that the peeps are no longer interested in Studio Tour, the mono rail, that I was speaking about before. I have no idea why this is happening. I tried lowering the price, renamed the ride, but in vein. So, I simply demolished it and I got like $7000 from it. With the money I got and with some Bank Loan, I build a pre-built floor less inverted coaster, with an excitement rating of more than 7.00.


      That coaster was enough to satisfy the next VIP and with this, this scenario is over.

      Before starting the next scenario, I am going to update my game that fixes some bugs. Hope the saved files work after the game is updated and I could continue with my scenarios.

      Checkered Flag is yet another easy theme park, where you need to impress the the VIPs by building jaw dropping roller coasters. Already in the park is two big Go-Kart tracks, which is not very lucrative. The biggest plus in this scenario is that you are given $50,000 at the start of the game, with $0 from loan. So, no worries in the financial department.

      I built a huge coaster with plenty of twists, drops, lifts and other special goodies. I had a excitement rating of more than 6.00, which was high enough to satisfy the VIP and to achieve part of tycoon objective. The other objective is to raise my monthly profit through shops to $200.00, which took me a couple of years to finish.

      After building that mega coaster, I had like $15,000 in hand, with which I sprinkled a number of thrill rides and gentle rides here and there, build a number of shops and stalls. Then, I spent some money in advertising the park. All these things smoothly took me to the tycoon level and with this I completed the Checkered Flag scenario.

      Gold Rush is an old abandoned boring mine at the heart of a desert, with a mine coaster and few other attractions. The objective of this game is to gain a stable monthly income of $700.00, build few excitements and coasters of long length and to repay the debts.

      I started with few gentle and thrill rides and sparkled a number of stalls and shops here and there. Then, I built a mini-rail that takes peeps throughout the park and gives them a overview of the whole park. By this time, I got a steady flow of cash in and so I started working on a coaster. It was a suspended coaster and helped me move to my goals fast.

      By this time, I re-payed my loans and have a steady cash flow. So, waited for sometime to get some more money and built a ready made roller coaster, which helped me reach the Tycoon objective of the Goldrush theme park.

      Vanilla Hills is a nice startup park with already a couple of attractions built in. The objective is to develop it,  draw more guests and to raise the park value.

      Since this is my first park in RCT3, I took some time in exploring things from the themes and sceneries to building intense roller coasters. I started developing slowly and steadily with the thrill and gentle riles, placing shops at random places.

      First Coaster:
      Though I built more than half a dozen attractions with a number of stalls here and there, I am not getting much profit, and I already reached my loan limit. So, I speeded up the game speed to acquire some money and after I got enough money, I started building my first roller coaster(I think it was a Junior coaster). I placed a few good helixes with not so deep drops and luckily, it got an excitement rating of more than 5. Here is a screenshot of peeps queuing for that roller coaster:


      Tip: Rename a peep's name as "Jonny Watts" to the view of that peep. Thanks to Jonny Watts, I was able to take the above screenshot.

      Though I was able to achieve the number of guests objective easily, raising the park value to complete the second objective was a little hard for me and played for hours, building a big number of attractions, including 3 coasters and finally reached park value of $100K and completed Vanilla Hills as a Tycoon :D

      Its been a long time since my last post. Its because I was a little busy, and didnt get enough time to play games. So, My one and only New Year resolution is that I should set apart some time to have fun in virtual worlds.

      To begin with, I played the good old CS 1.6 with my friends on 1.1.11 and I am now playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. I am a big fan of tycoon games and played many tycoon from RCT, RRT, Zoo Tycoon, Monopoly Tycoon, Oil Tycoon, etc., But, my tycoon journey started off with this particular game, Roller Coaster Tycoon. Thanks a bunch to Karthik, Makesh and others who gave me this Ultimate Tycoon game to me a decade back.

      Roller Coaster Tycoon Series:
      Roller Coaster Tycoon is a wonder world where you can create amazing theme parks with intensive Roller Coasters, thrill and gentle rides, manage the whole park, etc., I completed every single scenario in Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and a few scenarios in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. In my opinion, RCT 2 is just the same as RCT 1 with just few extra rides. I think its better to say RCT 2 as RCT 1.5 or something.

      Roller Coaster Tycoon 3:
      RCT 3 is a completely different beast and the ultimate thing is the game is in 3D and you can actually ride any attractions that you build. This game adds a lot of rides, attraction, shops, sceneries to the game and is the best. It also adds new firework system to the game that amazingly beautifies things at night.

      I finished all the tutorials, and started the game with the first scenario, Vanilla park. I will post about the scenarios as soon as I finish them.
