The main objective of this Mission is to defeat Rome. But, at the start we wont be having any base, to build our millitary upon. So, we have to raid small empires in the map to get resources to establish a base. Since, this is a raid, there is no need to tear down all the structures.

Getting resources from the small Empires is very easy and goes as follows.
First one is Sofia. On destroying the town center, it gives some food.
Next is Dyrrhachium who gives some troops. But, there is a catch. The troops are stationed near a Castle. So, you have to be quick enough to break the walls and get the troops out from there. I lost some of my horses, while breaking down the walls.
Next comes Thessalonica, who gives Villagers on destroying all the houses. But, I cant built my base, even after getting the villagers as the wood was 0. So, I continues my raid.
Then comes Adrianople with few monks and watch towers. Only the monks have to be killed and there is no need to go near the watch towers. Destroying their Mining Camp give some Gold.
Then, I met Scythian woman who promised me a reward on giving 6 Villagers to them. I skipped this mission now, as I cant afford 6 villagers now.
Then come the walls of mighty Rome, which cant even be touched at this time.
On crossing them, come the final one Naissus, who give the much needed wood, on destroying all their Lumber Camps.
Now I got all the resources and started building my base at the place of Thessalonica. While establishing my Empire, Rome sent a small army to my land two times. But, since I also got some small millitary, I defeated them with ease.

Then I built up my army as big as the population limit allowed me. Then went to fight Rome. A Screenshot of my army near the walls of Rome: attila,rome,aoe2,conquerors expansion, the great tide, marching, army, units, fight

Rome is well fortified with Walls, gates, and Watch Towers and it had a Castle too. With the help of my battering rams, I razed them to dust and finally defeated Rome.

Yesterday, I started Attila the Hun Campaign on hard difficulty level and completed the The Scourge of God mission.

On game start Bleda, the king of Huns challenges Attila for a contest. Some speeches goes on for a minute between Attila and Bleda. Then, Bleda betrays Attila, changes the diplomacy to Enemy. But Attila will be having some loyal followers. With their help, kill Bleda and all the remaining units and empire of Bleda becomes Attilas'. Make all your units to attack Bleda, so that the remaining unit of Bleda gets converted into Attilas' after Bleda is killed.

Then, I started building my Empire. My gameplay style is build a strong empire with defensive forts, then create a large army and raid other civilizations. In this game also, I started gathering resources at light speed with nearly 50 villagers and establised a defensive territory. Then, I created a big army of Skirmishers and Cavalry. Also, I created a dozen of Battering Rams to tear down the structures and four Monks to heal my Units.

There is an optional mission where Attila can go and discuss about alliance with Scythians. But I am not interested in that and raided Scythians first with my mighty Army. Scythians had a hell lot of watch tower. So, my units got killed one by one slowly and so I keep on training new Units and added them to my Army.

After defeating Scythians, I went to attack Western Roman Empire. They didnt have any Army to resist. Only they had poor watch towers. They got defeated in 5 minutes. Then I built 2 Docks and created some 10 ships, thinking of attacking the Persions using my Navy first. But, suddenly I was Victorious, still wondering why. I even didnt went into Persian land. Maybe my warships took out persian base without my knowledge.

Anyway, this game went well and it was easy too, even at hard difficulty setting

Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings and Age of Empires 2: Conquerors are finest Real Time Strategy Games I have played. The game focuses on building towns, gathering resources, creating armies, and destroying enemy units and buildings. Players conquer rival towns and empires as they advance their own civilization through four "Ages": the Dark Age, the Feudal Age, the Castle Age (The Middle Age), and the Imperial Age, reminiscent of the Renaissance—a 1000 year timeframe. Progressing to a new Age unlocks new units, structures and technologies, but players must pay a sum of resources and construct certain buildings before advancing.

Players choose to play as one of 13 civilizations split into four architectural styles, West European, Central European, Middle Eastern, and Far Eastern, that determine building appearance in-game. The civilizations have varying strengths and weaknesses with regards to economics, technology, and battle, and each has access to a different, very powerful "Unique Unit". To add variety, each civilization has a set of soundbites in its native language that are uttered by units when selected and instructed to perform a task.

Civilian units, called "villagers", are used to gather resources. These resources can be used to train units, construct buildings, and research technologies, among other things. The game offers four types of resources: food, wood, gold, and stone. Food is obtained by hunting animals, gathering berries, harvesting livestock, farming, and fishing. Wood is gathered by chopping down trees, gold is obtained from either gold mines, trade or having a relic in a monastery, and stone is collected from stone mines. Villagers require checkpoints, typically depository buildings, where they can store gathered resources. Each civilization can purchase upgrades that increase the rate of gathering these resources. Players who construct a special building, the market, may acquire or sell resources for gold. Market prices fluctuate with every transaction.

There are five campaigns in The Age of Kings, containing historically-based scenarios such as Genghis Khan's invasion of Eurasia, Barbarossa's Crusade, or Saladin's defence of the Holy Land. In the Joan of Arc and William Wallace campaigns, the player can control a unit based on its namesake; in others, players take orders from guiding spirits representative of the army's commander.

The Conquerors Expansion adds four additional single player campaigns. These are based on Attila the Hun's rise to power, Montezuma's defense against Hernándo Cortés and the adventures of El Cid. The fourth campaign, "Battles of the Conquerors," is actually a group of unrelated single scenarios, each based on a significant historical battle. These include the Battle of Agincourt, the saga of Erik the Red, and the Battle of Hastings, among others.

I already played this games once and completed all the campaigns at moderate difficulty setting. But now, I decided to play this game again at hard difficulty setting. The reason for playing this game now is, some of my friends, Alagappan, Sairam, JyothiSwaroop, Niku are interested in playing this game online and thats why I installed this game. But now, I started playing the campaign along with the multiplayer games that I play with my friends...

No No.. I am not gonna write about the movie Game Plan here. Just writing my thoughts of what to play next.

Evil Dead Regeneration is over and I am not going to play Sins of a Solar Empire anymore. It eats up too much time and I cant afford that much time for a single game. Also, my poor 80GB hard disk is full now. So, I have to clean up junks, make some free space and download some new games. Since, I havenot played my favourite genre, RPG for a while, I thought of playing Morrowind. But, I dont have that game now. Hope will find some torrent soon. Also, I have Gothic 1. But, I am not gonna play it again, as I already finised it two times. So, I go back to Last Chaos till I get Morrowind.

I played Oblivion a long back without any graphics card at the worst graphics settings. I completed only the main quests, because the game will lag like a** in my Computer. I am waiting to play Oblivion again as soon as I upgraded my system. So, till then, I play Morrowind.

After going through that Peeper in the shipyard, Ash will encounter a boss monster, Chomper. This guy is not hard to kill. This creepy monster become vulnerable for a few seconds, after it attacks you with its tail, as its tail got stuck in the ground. So, just look for this time, and attack the Chomper. Also, its very easy to evade all its attack. So, killing this boss monster, Chomper is just a piece of cake.

The Swamps:
Then you come to the Swamps. Once in here, I played as Sam and that one is the toughest place I ever seen in this game. I dont know whether I played it in the right way or wrong way. The thing to do is simple take possession of Sam, run like hell towards the big deadite to ride it. But on the way, Sam will encounter several Bloated Deadites which will simple come near him and explodes, killing Sam. I tried to reach that Big Deadite several time, but killed by those nasty Bloated Deadites several times. I tried nearly 20 times, then only I succeeded. This part is most difficult part in the game, for me.

Ash will get a Flamethrower in here and after that you have to move to the starting place, where there is a Fuel Storage Room. To open up the path, fire Sam using Flamethrower, then kick him inside the window and he explodes inside, opening up the path.

Port Turnham:
Welcome to Port Turnham, ghost town in Evil Dead: Regeneration. This town is not so special. All here is Ash's pal, Peeper waiting for his 3 souls of spirit. Capturing the third soul is lenghty and a little bit difficult too. I felt the difficulty at the garage, where Sam opens up the gate of the Garage and Ash have to backup and give him time to do his job. This city finishes quickly as you collect all the three Souls and here, you will get an upgraded Chainsaw with greatly increased damage output. Then, you go throught the Peeper to the final Map, The Temple

The Temple:
A new type of puzzle appears in the temple. Its not so difficult to think of. To open up some of the gates, Ash have to fire up the Torch like structures in front of the gate. Ash will frequently encounter this type of gates in the temple.

Evil Dead: Regeneration Screenshots Evil Dead: Regeneration Screenshots Evil Dead: Regeneration Screenshots
At first, Ash will be outside the temple, where he have to jump through the rocks to go through the temple. Inside the temple, a number of Skeletons appear. They shoot a fireball at Ash, when at a range, but they are very easy to kill(still wondering why this game is made sooooo easy!!!). After sometime, Ash comes to the Arena, where he fights a large number of deadites for a long time.

Evil Dead: Regeneration Screenshots Evil Dead: Regeneration Screenshots Evil Dead: Regeneration Screenshots
Ash will pass through several circular rooms with void at the middle and all the rooms have same kind of monsters. So, this rooms gives a feeling of repetive play, which is boring. The last thing to do at the temple is to raise two stairs on either side of a big rock, to get access to the path to the final Place, where the Doctor resides.

The Ending:
On going through the bloody path, Ash will encounter the final boss, Doctor Reinhard. He is slightly hard to finish, as he can increase his Life Meter by absorbing some creepy power from hi s Book of Evil. The best way to kill him is at range, shoot him all the time with the shotgun and when he run towards the book to reliquish him health, simple kick Sam onto the book which distracts him.

Overall, This is a very nice game, but very easy to play. Maybe a little bit difficulty could have made more interesting and no more complaints. The best features I like in this game is Cute(oops, creepy) Sam, the funniest type of horror(again mostly because of my pal, Sam) and neat graphics.

I logged into Last Chaos, to level, after a long time. So, I went to Jail, and grinded there for a while. Then I saw a guy from ThePhoenix guild, which is in out KoS list. His name is ZAKNAFEIN and I rushed to him and started to attack. Immediately, he repelled and two hitted me down. Again, I tried to kill him, but in vein.

Then called LadyVi from my guild for help, but nothing happens, as he didnt come out from the safe zone for a long time. In the middle, a rogue tried to kill me and he did some good damage too. Immediately I swithced to my shield, stunned him and kicked his butt to mud... It was a nice PVP.

Then grinded for an hour and got some 10% increase in my xp. Have to grind more and level up fast today night.

As a result of some awesome planning and repeated gaming, I completed the second and third Tour of Dutys' in hard difficulty level. But, the fourth Tour of Duty is an impossible a**. In that, there is a challenge where you have to kill 3 of your enemies with knife in a single round, which is impossible for me. I played that game nearly 100 times, but didnt succeed.

Tomorrow, planned to play the game in Expert difficutly level... Lets see whats in it...

Ya, I know, screenshots are missing for Counter Strike. I will surely post some nice screenshots in the next post..

Till then,

Now I am in the woods. Here, fought a bunch of weak deadites and after sometime, possesed Sam and ride a big Deadite. Then, some high tense hack n smack will be there, which is followed by a short video, in which Ash got a brand new weapon, The Harpoon Gun. Also, a new kind of deadite, Harpy, comes hereafter. Then Ash go through a series of underground mines and finally come to Forsaken Mines.

Evil Dead Regeneration Screenshots: Harpoon GunEvil Dead Regeneration Screenshots: Peeper

In Forsaken Mines, Ash's favourite Monster, Peeper is there. So, Ash and Sam plays some soul catching games and finally goes through the Peeper to encounter a Boss Monster, Big Miner.
Evil Dead Regeneration Screenshots: Big Miner Evil Dead Regeneration Screenshots: Big Miner Evil Dead Regeneration Screenshots: Big Miner Dead

This Monster is not so cool. He is very easy to kill. Ash even need not go close to him to perform Melee attacks. What I done is, circled around him evading the stones that fall and shooting him all the time with my Shot gun. In the middle, I turned Evil Ash(turned on Rage mode) and this makes my process fast. I took him down at ease.

Then, Ash comes to a Shipyard, where another Peeper is waiting for Ash. Here, a new deadite, Bloated Toxic Deadite appears. It will come near Ash, and explodes releasing toxic gas. The best way to kill them at safer distance is to use our old Handy gun, Pistol.

There, In a boat, Ash will get a Super weapon, Rocker Launcher. I am still in the mission of catching the souls for our evil friend Peeper.

I now added Counter Strike Condition Zero to my gameplay list which already includes, Evil Dead Regeneration, Sins of a Solar Empire and Last Chaos. And I am not going to post anything about this game, as I done for the other games. Because, If you are a gamer and If you dont know counter strike already, then you are a noob.

I got Condition Zero from my friend. This is one of my favourite game and I played it before and completed all Tour of Duties in medium difficulty. Now, I started to play this game again at Hard difficult level and completed the Tour of Duty 1. This game is terriblyyy hard to play at Hard difficulty level. It took one whole day for me, just to complete 3 missions in the Tour of Duty 1. I am sure that I am not gonna complete all the Duties. But, I wont give up now, I will try my level best to finish them all.

More Later with screenshots

I won the Huge Random Map, that I was playing for about two weeks. In the End, I colonized 80% of planets in 2 star systems, wiped out all other players, except my Ally.

But, hereafter, I surely wont play this Huge Random Map. It become very boring in its second half. But, I have to try out the other two Civilizations. So will be playing some medium sized map soon.

And for those, who like to visit my Virtual Chennai and to check out the advanced techs like Novalith Canon, I give a link here to my saved file. Feel free to check it out

This game is very fun to play. The combat is not like Point and Shoot, you click anywhere and Ash will automatically aim and shoot the nearest enemy and also you will have unlimited ammunition. So, I thought this game will be little bit boring.

But after an hour of play, I found this game very addictive. Because, on fighting the boss monsters like the Electric Deadite, you have to think strategically and implement your plan with perfect timing. Then only you can succeed.

Evil Dead Regeneration screenshots: Electric Deadite bossEvil Dead Regeneration screenshots: Electric Deadite bossEvil Dead Regeneration screenshots: Electric Deadite boss

And, you pal, half human and half deadite, Sam keeps the game interesting with his nooby speeches. Also, the game has some puzzles here and there. Overall, the game is good.

On start of the game, Ash wont be having any weapon. But will get a pistol soon. You have to play with this weapon for a while. Ash will be roaming in a dark haunted building at the start with some leaky electric flow on his path. Inside this haunted building, Ash will encounter laughing doors, furnitures, large number of bunch of deadites, an electric deadite(a boss monster). Also, Ash get his shotgun and the Chainsaw in here.

Evil Dead Regeneration screenshots: Fighting Deadites

Next after a small video comes your pal, Sam and now you are moved to the outer world. The funny thing is you can kick Sam on his butt to perform certain things. Sam will assist you in fights, solving puzzles and you can possess Sam and play as Sam. While playing as Sam, you can crawl through small tunnels, ride on deadites and more...

After roaming the horror land for a while, you will meet a big faced monster,Peeper which will block your path. The useless professor's spirit appears and tell you that Peeper will open your path, only when you give it some Spirits of a Egg. To do this, you have to find that eggs and cut it with your chainsaw. Sam will capture the Spirit and run towards the Peeper. But, on the way, many deadites appear and try to kill Sam. You have to save him and keep him safe till he reach the Peeper. Then you kick Sam into the Peeper's mouth. You have to repeat all these for all the 3 eggs. Then the Peeper opens his mouth and give you the way to go to another side.

Evil Dead Regeneration screenshots: Big Mouth Peeper

On going through the Peeper's mouth, you end up in a Catacomb, where you fight deadites and solve some mini puzzles and at last you meet a large Ugly lady boss. Fighting this boss was very thrilling and exciting and also little difficult, if you are not good at perfect timings.

Evil Dead Regeneration screenshots: Lady Boss

After killing that Lady Boss, you come to a forest. Here you get the ability to go to Rage Mode, where Ash become evil and get extra damage on his attacks and also he get more defense.

I played till this only, I think go back to Sins for a while...

More horrors soon

Evil Dead: Regeneration follows a new storyline, but it has all the trappings of the movies so fans have nothing to fear. In the beginning of the game Ash is in a cabin, when all of a sudden a bunch of deadites show up and start tearing the place apart. What else is a wisecracking action hero to do but to start dishing out heaping helpings of hot lead? Ash wins the day, but to the authorities it doesn't look so heroic. To them, it looks like Ash went on a rampage and wasted a bunch of innocent people. So Ash is convicted of murder, but his insistence that the people he killed were possessed lands him in Sunny Meadows, an asylum for the criminally insane. Coincidentally, in the basement of that asylum, Dr. Vingo is carrying out all kinds of morbid experiments with the Necronomicon (the book that caused all this trouble in the first place). Eventually all hell breaks loose, and Ash is charged with the task of saving the world and defeating the twisted Dr. Vingo.

The gameplay mostly consists of hack and slash with small convieniantly placed puzzles. The player takes the role of Ash Williams as he fights off hordes of Deadites. The player can find different kinds of weapons in levels which find use in different situations. Early on in the game Ash receives his sidekick Sam who fights along with him in battle. Unlike other games where killing a friend ingame is taboo at best, Sam actually comically dies many times in the game. The player can kick Sam into openings to open doors or onto enemies to pop their heads off. The player can also possess Sam to get through a very small tunnel to open a door or a switch.

In contrast with previous games, the game automatically gives the player unlimited ammunition for his weapons and unlimited gas to his chainsaw.

A new gameplay element is rage mode. When the player kills most enemies it fills up his rage meter. When the rage meter is filled up to a decent amount it allows Ash to go into "rage mode". Rage mode transforms Ash into a powerful deadite killing machine. It instantly doubles all of Ash's weapon damage and makes him lose health slower.

Overall, Evil Dead is a nice horror mixed comedy action game...
