Image
SPOILER ALERT !!! - This post explains in detail the plot of FEAR game and thus contains major spoilers. The player is an operative in the FEAR(First Encounter Assault Recoon) team. The game starts with the players being debriefed by the FEAR operatives. The mission summary goes as this: There is a psychic commander named, Paxton Fettel, who is capable of controlling an army of super soldiers telepathically. I am dropped in one of the buildings of Armacham facility with the mission to find Fettel. Shortly after the mission starts, all my team memebers were killed by some super-natural powers and I am left alone to pursue the mission. I roam through the haunted buildings of Armacham in search of Fettel, killing all the super soldiers on my way, meeting Fettel in both reality and some altered dimension, a dream. Worst part is the creepy environment, the lively BGM and the terrific encounters with the creepy little girl, Alma. The game will really make anyone go insan...

AOE 2: El Cid: Reconquista

Image
This is a continuation of previous Mission. But, in the between these two missions, El Cid die because of some disease. But, no one knows about El Cid's death. It was said that he was ill and cant come to battle field. So, the soldiers of El Cid fought the enemies thinking that El Cid is safely in the castle. Also, the El Cid's body placed in his horse outside the castle should come to no harm. Otherwise, the soldiers will know the truth and they will loose their morale and surely wont fight well. This is a tough mission from the start to end. Particularly, assaulting Yusuf's base is very hard. About El Cid's body, if the base of Valencia is protected well, then there will be no problem in protecting El Cid's body. I usually wont develop Navy, but in this game having a Navy is must. But, in the start I didnt develop my Navy. I concentrated on my ground units and economy. On game start itself, I attacked Black Guard Army, who is very near to Valencia. After a tough b...

AOE 2: El Cid: Black Guards

Image
This is a great mission and at the beginning playing is so hard. But once, you established your base well with decent army, then there will be no problem to finish this one. Escort King Alfonso and El Cid to the new base, shown by a Knight. There wont be much resources inside the base. So, create many villagers and send them out to gather resources. Also, keep on developing your military units and defend the base from heavy attacks of the enemies. This will really be the toughest time. All the time, keep exploring for resources as they are scattered around. The Objective now is to Destroy 6 Black Guard Docks. To the south west of our base, there will be a wonder, named Black Guard Mosque. On exploring, a new optional objective appears, which tells to bring El Cid to the mosque. On bringing El Cid, it will tell to bring a Monk there, so that they will teach all the Monk Upgrades to us for free. So, bring a monk there and he takes time to learn the upgrades. Let the monk stand there and ...

AOE 2: El Cid: The Exile of The Cid

Image
The Objective is to find a new Lord for El Cid to serve. El Cid will be in the King Alfonso's area at the game start. El Cid will be given his Horse there and asked to go away from Alfonso's Empire. As soon as El Cid step out of the Alfonso's wall, he will make the Diplomatic stance to Enemy and his soldiers start attacking El Cid. On running away from them, El Cid get some loyal followers. Move a little forward, and El Cid gets a small number of Camels, who informs El Cid to join Motamid of the Moors at his Castle in Zaragoza. But, all the way to reach Motamid is blocked by dense forests and our enemies walls. So, El Cid must go to the mini base at the South of the map provided by Motamid to create some Siege. Four or Five battering Rams will be enough to destroy the gates and Castle of King Alfonso, which blocks our path. On destroying Alfonso's Castle, he calls for a Truce and changes the diplomatic stance to Neutral. Proceed North East from there to Motamid's Em...

AOE 2: El Cid: The Enemy of My Enemy

Image
This is little bit tougher than the previous Mission. On beginning a dozen of Toledo Villagers will be running away from their Town, because of the rebellion there. They will also tell El Cid to meet Imam to find a way to stop the Rebellion. Before searching for Imam, I establised my base near the place where Motamid's market resides and started developing my Empire. Also, sent out a few scouts to search for Imam. There is a small lake at the north of the Map. Imam is hiding in a small Island in that Lake. On bringing El Cid to Imam's Island, he tells that if El Cid manage to capture and bring 4 Relics from the Rebel Leaders, then Imam will be able to stop the Rebellion. I created a large army and started attacking my enemies. Their base is very much condensed with buildings, built very close to each other. Managing my large army in this no land area was very hard and I lost many of Units because of this stupid reason. Anyway, I built a Castle and military building just outside...

AOE 2: Attila The Hun: A Barbarian Betrothal

Image
This mission takes place in Icy Place. This a nice change after playing all the games in grass land. Also, the coolest thing about this mission is that, Huns can now get into Imperial Age from this mission onwards. The Objective is to defeat three Empires, Burgundy, Metz and Orleans. After developing a small army, I went to attack Burgundy. Since, I didnt have a Castle to create Trebuchets, I created a small number of Battering Rams. On destroying the town center of Burgundy, they proposed an ally request for 500 gold and a Castle on their area for defense. Immediately, I retreated, and accepted their proposal, by giving them 500 gold and building castle on their land. I thought that they would be much help when invading other empires. But, these idiots not all developed any army. They keep on collecting the resources. Next I invaded Metz and defeated them easily with my mighty army. Next I went into the lands of Orleans and while fighting them a big Roman Army appeared out of nowhere....
