AOE 2: Attila The Hun: The Fall of Rome:

Image
This is the REAL game, I have been expecting for. Unlike the previous missions, it keeps you engaged all the time and its difficult too. But, not too hard to finish. I played this one two times. The first time, I lose the game, because of Wonder Victory by my enemies. But, the second time, I played very cautiously and won. The main Objective is to defeat Milan, Padua, Verona and Aquileia and to parlay with Rome. The Rome itself does not have a good offencive power as they lost all their forces in the previous battles with hun. Most of the time, the enemies keeps on attacking us with small to medium size armies. You have to defend our base and at the same time develop a massive army with good siege weapons to destroy their Wonders. Yes, Padua starts to build a wonder after 5 minutes from the start of the game and after some time Aquileia and then Verona also starts to build a wonder. This is why, I lost the game when I was playing first time. I not at all expected them to build a wonder...

AOE 2: Attila The Hun: The Catalaunian Fields

This game is like a deathmatch, where you will be having 2000 wood, 8000 food, 8000 gold and 100 gold during startup. But, at the start, you wont be having your base, not even a Town Center, but will be having a small Cavalry Force. You have to establish your empire from the scratch and this time, you have an ally, Ostrogoths. But, they wont be of much help to us. While establishing the base, the enemies will raid us with small army. At that time, few units of our ally prove helpful. But, as the game progress, they didnt do much to mention here. The Objective of this game is to defeat Romans, Alans and Visigoths, same as the other games. I am bored of writing the same thing of building military, invading enemies and defeating them. Nothing special in this mission. Invading enemies goes in the following order... first Visigoths, then Alans and last one is Western Roman Empire. Saved Files:

AOE 2: Attila The Hun: A Barbarian Betrothal

This mission takes place in Icy Place. This a nice change after playing all the games in grass land. Also, the coolest thing about this mission is that, Huns can now get into Imperial Age from this mission onwards. The Objective is to defeat three Empires, Burgundy, Metz and Orleans. After developing a small army, I went to attack Burgundy. Since, I didnt have a Castle to create Trebuchets, I created a small number of Battering Rams. On destroying the town center of Burgundy, they proposed an ally request for 500 gold and a Castle on their area for defense. Immediately, I retreated, and accepted their proposal, by giving them 500 gold and building castle on their land. I thought that they would be much help when invading other empires. But, these idiots not all developed any army. They keep on collecting the resources. Next I invaded Metz and defeated them easily with my mighty army. Next I went into the lands of Orleans and while fighting them a big Roman Army appeared out of nowhere....

AOE 2: Attila The Hun: Walls of Constantinople

I played this mission a week ago. So, I dont remember the gameplay to very detailed level. Here, I write what is till there in my mind... The Objective of this game is to get 10,000 gold. But, you wont be having gold to mine from or market to trade with. Actually, the objective is to get 10,000 gold from Rome. To accomplish this, you have to destroy the buildings of Rome. On, losing some important buildings(like, Town Center, Dock, Castle, etc.,) Romans will pay you a hefty amount of gold and plead you to stop your attacks. This is the only source of Gold, and it has to be wisely invested. For ranged Units, I created Skirmishers, since they dont use up any gold and I invested all the gold in creating a good Cavalry and Trebuchets. Marcianopolis(Green) will be very near to us and they are fortified with a wall too. Marcianopolis itself will give nearly 3000 gold(think so, not sure) on destroying all their buildings. Next, I developed a decent army and went to attack the well fortified C...

AOE 2: Attila the Hun: The Great Ride

The main objective of this Mission is to defeat Rome. But, at the start we wont be having any base, to build our millitary upon. So, we have to raid small empires in the map to get resources to establish a base. Since, this is a raid, there is no need to tear down all the structures. Getting resources from the small Empires is very easy and goes as follows. First one is Sofia. On destroying the town center, it gives some food. Next is Dyrrhachium who gives some troops. But, there is a catch. The troops are stationed near a Castle. So, you have to be quick enough to break the walls and get the troops out from there. I lost some of my horses, while breaking down the walls. Next comes Thessalonica, who gives Villagers on destroying all the houses. But, I cant built my base, even after getting the villagers as the wood was 0. So, I continues my raid. Then comes Adrianople with few monks and watch towers. Only the monks have to be killed and there is no need to go near the watch towers. Des...

AOE 2: Attila the Hun: The Scourge of God

Yesterday, I started Attila the Hun Campaign on hard difficulty level and completed the The Scourge of God mission. On game start Bleda, the king of Huns challenges Attila for a contest. Some speeches goes on for a minute between Attila and Bleda. Then, Bleda betrays Attila, changes the diplomacy to Enemy. But Attila will be having some loyal followers. With their help, kill Bleda and all the remaining units and empire of Bleda becomes Attilas'. Make all your units to attack Bleda, so that the remaining unit of Bleda gets converted into Attilas' after Bleda is killed. Then, I started building my Empire. My gameplay style is build a strong empire with defensive forts, then create a large army and raid other civilizations. In this game also, I started gathering resources at light speed with nearly 50 villagers and establised a defensive territory. Then, I created a big army of Skirmishers and Cavalry. Also, I created a dozen of Battering Rams to tear down the structures ...
