RRT II: The Pixely Junction Railroad (PJR)

Image
I played this scenario once with the following settings. But all the time, I got only Game Map: The Pixely Express Starting Year: 1850 Players: SaiYasodharan and two AI opponents Company Name: Indian Railways Financial Model: Expert Industrial Model: Expert Revenue Modifier: None for both Difficulty Rating: 110% The objective of Pixely Junction Railroad Scenario are as follows: The Bronze Goal is to move at least 500 Loads of Cargo. This can include Passengers and Mail, By the end of 3 years. The Silver Goal is to do the above and have a Lifetime profit of atleast $20 million. The Gold Goal is to all the above and by the ONLY company left in the valley by the end of 3 years. This is relatively small map than Heartland, but it is a great map. I was playing great and by 1975, I achieved the silver goal. After a year, in January, 1976, I merged up with the other two companies and hence achieved the final Gold Goal. I played this scenario several times with the following settings. But all the time, I got only got Silver Medals. Game Map: Heartland Starting Year: 1850 Players: SaiYasodharan and one AI opponent Company Name: Indian Railways Financial Model: Expert Industrial Model: Expert Revenue Modifier: None for both Difficulty Rating: 105% For upto 5 years, I connected cities and hauled only passenger and mails. In April 1963, my company, Indian Railways reached a Book Value of $20 million, which is the Criteria to get the Bronze and after a while Indian Railways crossed $40 million too to get the Silver. But on January, 1975, when the game gets over, Indian Railways didnt reach the $80 million line and so I got Silver only. Overall, this is a nice Map without having the mountains and ranges, which I hate the most. Some Screenshots: Sa...

RRT II: Grand Prix Scenario

Image
This is a very nice Scenario, with nice series of Mission Objectives. Unlike other scenarious, where you will be asked to attain certain goal in certain amount of time, this game has a series of tasks, which you have to complete one by one, but in a limited time. For Bronze, it is said that the game should be completed in 100 years. Since, I was playing this map for the first time, I was not pushing myself too much and decided to work for Bronze. This Map is divided into two parts, where one part is the mirror of the other. All the Cities, Industries and even forests are similar in both the parts. You can play only in one part and you foe plays in the other. The Winner, is the one, who first connects the Starting Gate and Finishing Line and haul 50 loads of Cargo between them. But there are so many territories between Starting Gate and Finishing Line, to which you wont be having the access rights. You have to earn those rights one by one, by accomplishing the task given for the territo...

Railroad Tycoon II

RRT2 (Railroad Tycoon II) is a "management sim" to come out for thePlayStation game console and PC, having been released in February of 2000. It is very similar to the old "Aerobiz" series for the Super Nintendo from a fewyears back in that the player takes the role of the head of a company and through shrewd management tries to defeat his rivals in a good old-fashioned corporate smackdown. Of course, the object of the game is not JUST to build the biggest or the mostprofitable railroad. You also have to build a high personal net worth throughruthless exploitation of the stock market. In many scenarios, you have to connect certain cities (like St. Louis to Sacramento, for example) and haul a certain number of carloads of cargo between them. It's not just about the business (unlike Aerobiz)... it's a complete immersion into the world of the rail baron. From the earliest steam locomotives to the superfast bullet trains of today, you'll be challenged every ...
